You may already know that you can share your printer over the network so that multiple users can print out documents on it. Thanks to the Scanique application, you can do the same with a printer. You can use the Scanique application to share a scanner over a local network or over the web.

Even on a lousy internet connection, it will not take long to download the 2.3MB Scanique installation file. Run this file and a setup wizard will show up; click through the wizard’s onscreen instructions and moments later you will be done with the installation process. You can install Scanique on the following supported Windows editions: 7, Vista, XP, 2003, and 2008.

Scanique’s interface is divided into three sections. To the left there’s a section that lets you pick the source, scan settings, output file settings, preview scan, and run a full scan. The other two sections display info on your scanned documents. There’s nothing complicated about the application’s interface and consequently, you should not have any problems getting accustomed to it.

As mentioned above, the main bit of functionality the Scanique application has to offer is to turn your scanner into a network scanner. You can use the application to share your scanner – to gain local and remote scanning capabilities. Scanned documents can be saved as JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, or PDF, and they can be edited as the application comes with some basic image editing functions.

You have 14 days at your disposal to evaluate the functionality Scanique has to offer. When this trial period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using Scanique.

Save time and money by using Scanique to share a scanner across the network.
